Factory inspections to be solely conducted by IDA-chaired committee

Arab Finance: The committee formed by the Ministry of Transport and Industry, chaired by the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), is the sole entity authorized to inspect factories, Minister of Transport and Industry Kamel El Wazir stated.

The committee includes members from the Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Local Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Labor, the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA), and the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA).

Furthermore, El Wazir stressed that the closure of any industrial facility shall be conducted upon his decision after being approved by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
