United Arab Stevedoring loses Red Sea Ports Authority's auction

Arab Finance: United Arab Stevedoring (UASG) lost Red Sea Ports Authority's auction for the operation and management of three yards at Safaga Port, according to the company's August 31st statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange. 

The auction was held on August 30th the company said, noting Suez Cargo Handling Automation has won the deal. 

United Arab Stevedoring reported a loss of EGP 25.542 million in the fiscal year (FY) 2019/20220

This marked a 13% Year on Year increase from the EGP 22.701 million incurred in FY 2018/2019.

United Arab Stevedoring, formerly United Arab Shipping Company, is an Egypt-based company engaged in the marine port services industry sector. The company primarily is involved in loading and unloading activities at the Alexandria and Dekheilla ports in Egypt.  It owns a fleet of trucks, trailers, single-semi trailer and semi-trailer.
