Bosta to expand in Saudi Arabia early 2022

ArabFinance: Egyptian courier startup Bosta plans to enter the Saudi market by early 2022, co-founder and COO Omar Yaghmour told Al Mal.

The step falls in line with the company’s plans to expand its presence in the Gulf region.

Yaghmour added that the company is also eyeing the UAE and Kuwait.

He further noted that Saudi Arabia and the UAE account for almost half of the e-commerce industry in the Middle East and are both promising growth markets.

The company also plans to expand further in Africa and is currently considering entry into Kenya, Morocco, and South Africa.

In May, the company raised a $6.7 million Series A round, providing funding to drive expansion.

Established in 2017, Bosta is an overnight delivery provider for E-commerce companies in Egypt. The company relies on advanced technology to deliver orders to our customers in a fast way. The company also handles exchange shipments, customer returns, and cash collection.

Bosta carries out around 300,000 deliveries each month in Egypt, and it is working with 3,000 businesses, including Amazon, Noon, and Jumia.
