Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt posts 8.1% YoY higher business volume in April

ArabFinance: Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (FAIT) has reported a 8.1% year-on-year (YoY) growth in business volume for April, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Wednesday.

The bank’s business volume recorded EGP 138.424 billion at the end of last April, compared to EGP 127.997 billion in April 2021.

Total assets increased by 8.5% YoY to EGP 136.61 billion last April, compared to EGP 125.921 billion in the same month of 2021.

The bank’s current and saving accounts rose by 8.7% YoY to EGP 115.824 billion in April, from EGP 106.543 billion in the corresponding month last year.

In March, the bank’s business volume grew by 9.9% to EGP 138.64 billion from EGP 126.17 billion in March 2021.

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt is a financial institution that offers banking and investment services in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles through its head office and 27 branches located across the country.
