Cairo: Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabeel said that the ministry is keen to support all activities and initiatives aimed at stepping up economic and trade relations between Egypt and African countries and restoring Egypt's leading role in the continent.
He pointed out that Egyptian-African relations are top priority for the Egyptian government given economic and political importance of the African countries.
The statements made during the inauguration of the African food exhibition for food industries, entitled “Food Africa “by both Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabeel and Minsiter of Supply Aly Meseilhy.
The exhibition is held for 3 days at the Cairo International Convention Center, with the participation of 450 Egyptian and foreign companies operating in food manufacturing.
Food Africa is an opportunity for Egyptian producers to penetrate African markets and would increase trade among African countries, according to Qabeel.
