Four operators compete for developing industrial complexes

Cairo: Four industrial developers have obtained the work statement of building 4 complexes over an area of 1.2 sq. meter in Luxor, Asyut, Qena and Sohag governorates as part of a tender put out by the ministry of trade and industry last June.

An official told Al Mal newspaper CPC Egypt For Industrial Development got 4 work statements while other firms obtained 3 work statements.
the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) agreed to extend the duration of receiving bids until August at the request of companies, according to the official, who added that the ministry use industrial developers given their expertise in creating, developing and managing industrial zones and complexes.

In mid-May, ministry of trade and industry issued statement of work for 4 industrial complexes to be built on an area of 1.2 million sq. meter with each complex including 200 units.

Every governorate is to identify the type of industrial activities for which units will be allocated with food industries having first priority as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.

Minister of trade and industry Tareq Qabil announced earlier offering industrial complexes in Upper Egypt in following the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during the second Youth Conference held in Aswan last January.
