Egypt allocates EGP 100M for Damanhour railway station

ArabFinance: Beheira Governorate intends to develop Damanhour railway station at a total cost of EGP 100 million, Al Borsa News reported.

In cooperation with Egypt’s Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, the governorate aims to preserve the current construction works at the station.

This development project is among 11 others in different stations across Egypt.

In February, the European Investment Bank (EIB) granted Egypt EUR 1.5 million to cover a feasibility study related to the Tanta–El Mansoura– Damietta rail project, which is expected to improve railways safety, availability, and reliability of a vital rail corridor through the Nile Delta.

Contributing to the improvement of Egypt’s railway network and economic infrastructure, the Tanta–El Mansoura– Damietta project connects Cairo to a major Egyptian Mediterranean port, Damietta.
