Egypt allocates EGP 36B to several sectors

ArabFinance: The Egyptian government will earmark EGP 36 billion to three sectors, according to a March 26th statement.
This finance ministry will allocate this amount for the health, high school education, and social solidarity sectors.
Mohamed Maait, Egypt’s finance minister announced this during a meeting with the Cabinet which approved the state budget for fiscal year 2020/2021.
As part of the government’s social development efforts, natural gas will be supplied to 1.2 million residential units.
The meeting has included the country’s target to reduce overall deficit to 6.3% of gross domestic product (GDP).
It is noteworthy that for the health sector alone, Egypt has allocated EGP 3.8 billion since March 1s.
Meanwhile, Maait announced on March 25th EGP 95 million worth of support to the social solidarity ministry.
