ArabFinance: Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced 329 new COVID-19 infections on November 18th, increasing the cases tally to 111,613 until press time.
The ministry reported 14 more fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6,495.
The country now has 101,421 total recoveries, after 133 new patients were discharged from quarantine hospitals, according to the statement.
Egypt’s new daily cases have crossed the 300 mark for the first time in two weeks, as the number of new infections has been above the 200 mark since November 4th.
The health minister Hala Zayed remarked, during a Cabinet meeting, that the occupancy rate of regular internal beds at COVID-19 hospitals reached 20%, while about 47% of the intensive care units’ beds are occupied.
