Arab Finance: The Philippines has opened its market for the Egyptian exports of citrus for the first time after five years of negotiations, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El-Sayed El-Quseir announced on December 2nd.
The first shipment of Egyptian citrus is expected to be exported to the Philippines in the current session.
The Filipino side also promised to accelerate the process of opening the markets for the Egyptian exports of grapes and potatoes.
Egypt has been in talks with the Philippines since 2016 over entering the Filipino market.
