Arab Finance: The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Romania’s Transgaz to reinforce joint cooperation in the field of natural gas transmission, according to Cabinet statement on February 5th.
The MoU targets deepening cooperation between Egypt and Romania in the infrastructure development projects of natural gas transmission.
It also aims at diversifying ways of supplying and distributing natural gas, in order to support energy security.
As per the signing, the two parties will form mutual groups to study the European standards and systems of the natural gas market as well as the reforms in the energy sector and the pricing of natural gas.
