EGX ends Thursday in green

ArabFinance: Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) turned to gains on Thursday.

The benchmark index EGX30 added 0.21% to close at 13,670.27 points; the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 went up 0.32% to close at 531.97 points; and the broader index EGX100 increased 0.33% to close at 1,376.08 points.

Trading volume reached 130.29 million shares, with a total value of EGP 1.8 billion over 11,752 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 729.88 billion.

Today, the gainers reached 78 companies of the total listed stocks (164), while decliners were 31 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 55 companies.

Egyptian investors made 88.25% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 1.2% and foreign investors made 10.55%.

Egyptian investors were net buyers by EGP 17.7 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 14.4 million and EGP 3.3 million, respectively.

Individuals made 10.68% of trades, versus 89.31% by Institutions.

Moreover, the volume leaders were led by Orascom Investment Holding (OIH), which rose 1.8% to close at EGP 0.675, with 55.69 million shares in volume.

Global Telecom Holding (GTHE) came second, remaining unchanged to close at EGP 4.92, with 13 million shares in volume.

This was followed by Palm Hills Developments (PHDC) that grew 0.92% and closed at EGP 2.18, with 8.9 million shares in volume.

Qalaa Holdings (CCAP) added 0.53% and closed at EGP 3.78, with 6.08 million shares in volume, followed by Cleopatra Hospital Company S.A.E (CLHO) which levelled up 1.74% to close at EGP 5.86 and 2.5 million shares in volume.
