EGX closes Tuesday's session negatively

ArabFinance: Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday's session negatively. 

The benchmark index EGX30 plunged 0.43% and closed at 13,364.63 points; the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 dropped 0.26% to close at 523.19 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled down 0.29% to close at 1,352.72 points.

Trading volume reached 169.41 million shares, with a total value of EGP 2.61 billion over 20,616 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 717 billion.

Today, the gainers reached 30 companies of the total listed stocks (174), while decliners were 105 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 39 companies.

Egyptian investors made 87.57% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 1.85% and foreign investors made 10.58%.

Foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 40 million, while Arab and Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 20.25 million and EGP 19.72 million, respectively.

Individuals made 14.33% of trades, versus 85.66% by Institutions.

Moreover, the volume leaders were Orascom Investment Holding (OIH), which fell 4.25% to close at EGP 0.596, with 32.85 million shares in volume.

Qalaa Holdings (CCAP) declined 6.2% to close at EGP 3.20, with 26.51 million shares in volume.

This was followed by Palm Hills Developments (PHDC) that fell 0.98% and closed at EGP 2, with 15.15 million shares in volume.

Global Telecom Holding (GTHE) went down 0.2% to close at EGP 4.94, with 13.48 million, followed by Elsewedy Electric (SWDY) that decreased 5.57% to close at EGP 11.90, with 5.107 million shares in volume.
