EGX ends Tuesday in green

ArabFinance: Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) turned to gains on Tuesday.

The benchmark index EGX30 increased 0.88% to close at 14,428.08 points; the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 went up 0.91% to close at 551.08 points; and the broader index EGX100 added 0.94% to close at 1,443.44 points.

Trading volume reached 304.68 million shares, with a total value of EGP 2.27 billion over 27,191 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 762 billion.

Today, the gainers reached 102 companies of the total listed stocks (172), while decliners were 34 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 36 companies.

Egyptian investors made 68.24% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 5.58% and foreign investors made 26.18%.

Foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 218 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 95.6 million and EGP 122 million, respectively.

Individuals made 26.74% of trades, versus 73.25% by Institutions.

Moreover, the volume leaders were led by Orascom Investment Holding (OIH), which rose 1.44% to close at EGP 0.7, with 77.56 million shares in volume.

Qalaa Holdings (CCAP) came second, increasing 4.2% to close at EGP 2.76, with 23.85 million shares in volume.

This was followed by CI Capital Holding for Financial Investments (CICH) that decreased 1.7% and closed at EGP 8, with 20.4 million shares in volume.

Palm Hills Developments S.A.E. (PHDC) added 2.9% and closed at EGP 2.44, with 15.4 million shares in volume, followed by Porto Group (PORT) which leveled up 3.09% to close at EGP 0.8 and 10.89 million shares in volume.
