    EGX ends Sunday on mixed note

    ArabFinance: Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) saw a mixed performance in Sunday’s session.

    The benchmark index EGX30 inched up 0.05% and closed at 14,340.5 points, while the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 decreased 0.81% to close at 548.6 points and the broader index EGX100 lost 0.57% to close at 1,435.02 points.

    Trading volume reached 361 million shares, with a total value of EGP 2.2 billion over 26,433 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 756.76 billion.

    Today, the gainers reached 46 companies of the total listed stocks (180), while decliners were 106 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 28 companies.

    Egyptian investors made 73.3% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 3.65% and foreign investors made 23.05%.

    Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 172 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 156 million and EGP 15.96 million, respectively.

    Individuals made 32.78% of trades, versus 67.21% by Institutions.

    Moreover, the volume leaders were led by Orascom Investment Holding (OIH), which added 0.41% to close at EGP 0.72, with 111.9 million shares in volume.

    Porto Group (PORT) came second, declined 4.59% to close at EGP 0.7, with 42.4 million shares in volume.

    This was followed by  Palm Hills Developments (PHDC) that decreased 1.22% and closed at EGP 2.35, with 40 million shares in volume.

    Egyptian Resorts Company (EGTS) came next and leveled up 2.04% to close at EGP 3.05, with 30.95 million, followed by Qalaa Holdings (CCAP) that edged down 0.36% to close at EGP 2.7, with 21.34 million shares in volume.
