EGX indices start to gain, EGX30 ups 3.2% Wednesday

ArabFinance:  The benchmark index EGX30 increased 3.22% and closed at 13,595 points while the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 inched up 2.68% to close at 496 points and the broader index EGX100 went up 2.60% to close at 1,327 points.

Trading volume reached 238 million shares, with a total value of EGP 1.704 billion over 22,919 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 688.484 billion.

Today, the gainers reached 127 companies of the total listed stocks (172), while decliners were 14 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 31 companies.

Egyptian investors made 64.95% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 12.58% and foreign investors made 22.46%.

Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 180 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 132 million and EGP 48 million, respectively.

Individuals made 55.40% of trades, versus 44.59% by Institutions.

Moreover, the volume leaders were led by Orascom Investment Holding (OIH) which rose 26.23 % to close at EGP 0.042, with 71 million shares in volume.

Palm Hills Developments S.A.E. (PHDC) came second, rising 6.11% to close at EGP 1.98, with 31 million shares in volume.

This was followed by Arabia Investment Holding (AIND) (AIND_R2) that up 5.26% to close at EGP 0.04, with 32 million shares in volume.

Qalaa Holdings (CCAP) came next and inched up 1% to close at EGP 2.07 with 27 million shares in volume, followed by Porto Group (PORT) that edged up 4.61% to close at EGP 0.64, with 10 million shares in volume.
