EGX30 rises 1.7%, Egyptians net sellers of EGP 70M

The benchmark index EGX30 increased 1.68% and closed at 14,497 points while the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 inched up 1.35% to close at 527 points and the broader index EGX100 went up 1.55% to close at 1,415 points.

Trading volume reached 207 million shares, with a total value of EGP 1.1771 billion over 22,969 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 723.325 billion.

Today, the gainers reached 110 companies of the total listed stocks (172), while decliners were 31 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 31 companies.

Egyptian investors made 71.22% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 12.29% and foreign investors made 16.49%.

Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 70 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 32 million and EGP 38 million, respectively.

Individuals made 65.06% of trades, versus 34.93% by Institutions.

Moreover, the volume leaders were led by  Porto Group (PORT) which dropped 0.88% to close at EGP 0.67, with 29 million shares in volume.

Orascom Investment Holding (OIH) came second, rising 0.69 to close at EGP 0.575, with 26 million shares in volume.

This was followed by Arabia Investment Holding (AIND) (AIND_R2) that down 5.26% to close at EGP 0.035, with 20 million shares in volume.

Qalaa Holdings (CCAP) came next and inched up 2.86% to close at EGP 2.52 with 14 million shares in volume, followed by Palm Hills Developments S.A.E. (PHDC) that edged up 0.94% to close at EGP 2.13, with 10 million shares in volume.
