EGX30 ups 1.5%, Egyptian investors net buyers of EGP 71M Monday

ArabFinance: Egyptian Stock Exchange’s (EGX) indices started the week in green.  

The benchmark index EGX30 increased 1.50% and closed at 14,431 points while the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 inched up 1.54% to close at 530 points and the broader index EGX100 went up 1.44% to close at 1,416 points.

Trading volume reached 271 million shares, with a total value of EGP 1.560 billion over 27,043 trades. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 724.74 billion.

Today, the gainers reached 112 companies of the total listed stocks (176), while decliners were 29 companies, and unchanged were amounting to 35 companies.

Egyptian investors made 69.12% of today's action, while Arab investors recorded 13.71% and foreign investors made 17.17%.

Egyptian investors were net buyers by EGP 71 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 52 million and EGP 19 million, respectively.

Individuals made 59.63% of trades, versus 40.36% by Institutions.

Moreover, the volume leaders were led by Arabia Investment Holding (AIND) (AIND_R2) which dropped 34.78% to close at EGP 0.013, with 51 million shares in volume.

Orascom Investment Holding (OIH) came second, rising 3.90% to close at EGP 0.58, with 45 million shares in volume.

This was followed by Ezz Steel (ESRS) that raise 15.31% to close at EGP 12.80, with 19 million shares in volume.

Porto Group (PORT) came next and inched up 1.38% to close at EGP 0.65 with 18 million shares in volume, followed by Pioneers Holding (PIOH) that edged up 0.89% to close at EGP 5.58, with 16 million shares in volume.
