EGX indices fall for 4th session

ArabFinance: The Egyptian Stock Exchange’s (EGX) indices witnessed a downward trend for the fourth session on October 25th.

The benchmark index EGX 30 fell 3.50% to close at 10,602.98 points. 

The small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX 70 went down by 1.98% to close at 1,784.57 points, while the broader index EGX 100 closed at 2,692.53 points, marking a decline of 1.77%.

Trading volume reached 244.919 million shares executed through 33,729 transactions, with a total value of EGP 871,250 million. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 598.703 billion. 

Egyptian investors made up 91.76% of total transactions, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 4.66% and 3.58%, respectively.

Individuals represented 44.36% of total trades, while institutions contributed to 55.63%.

The top five performers by trading volume were Orascom Investment Holding (OIH)Arabia Investments Holding (AIH)Palm Hills Developments (PHD), Qalaa Holdings (CCAP), and Dice Sport and Casual Wear (DSCW).   

However, the worst top performers by price were Osool ESB for Securities Brokerage (EBSC)Marsa Marsa Alam for Tourism Development (MMAT)Egyptians for Housing and Development Company, International Company for Agricultural Products (IFAP), and Atlas for Investment (AIFI).
