ArabFinance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has closed Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.14%, finishing the session at 11,731.71 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 equal-weight index (EWI) slipped 0.19% to 2,208.76 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 index slipped 0.24% to 3,231.96 points, while the EGX50 EWI index shed 0.52% to 2,050.44 points.
Trading volume amounted nearly to 177.82 million shares exchanged through 32,192 transactions at a turnover of EGP 746.35 million.
Market capitalization closed today’s trading session at EGP 756.91 billion.
Retail investors controlled 62.52% of total trading transactions, while institutional investors made up 37.47% of trading.
Egyptian traders made up 73.75% of total trading transactions, while Arab and foreign investors made up 9.1% and 17.14% respectively.
Egyptian traders were net sellers with EGP 5.02 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 1.06 million and EGP 3.96 million, respectively.
