ArabFinance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has ended Monday’s trading session in green territory.
The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.16%, finishing the session at 10,724.8 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 equal-weight index (EWI) added 0.58% to 1,695.73 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 index levelled up 0.58% to 2,618.02 points, while the EGX50 EWI index rose 0.58% to 1,792.26 points.
Trading volume amounted nearly to 255.079 million shares exchanged through27,489 transactions at a turnover of EGP 601.33 million.
Market capitalization closed today’s trading session at EGP 684.77 billion.
Retail investors controlled 59.50% of total trading transactions, while institutional investors made up 40.49% of trading.
Egyptian traders made up 77.49% of total trading transactions, while Arab and foreign investors made up 11.89% and 10.62% respectively.
Foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 66.34 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 51.94 million and EGP 14.39 million, respectively.
