13% rise in travelers' number in Tunis airports in first 5 months of 2018

The movement of travelers in Tunisian airports, under the supervision of the Civil Aviation and Airports Office (French: OACA), recorded a rise of 13% in the first five months of 2018, compared with the same period of 2017, to reach about three million passengers, according to data published by the OACA on its "Facebook" page.

The movement of aircraft increased by 12%, over the same period, the number of aircraft that passed through Tunisian airports has reached 21 thousand aircraft.

Regarding the performance of the Tunis Carthage International Airport, the evolution rate in the number of passengers was 8.1% (1.401 million passengers) and that of the number of aircraft was 3.1% (21,571 aircraft).

Djerba-Zarzis Airport achieved a jump of 47.5% in terms of the number of passengers (about 205 thousand passengers) and a 30% improvement in the number of aircraft, or 4,474 aircraft.

On the other hand, the number of aircraft dropped by 8.9% in Sfax airport, while the number of passengers increased slightly by 1%, at around 62,000 passengers

The Tozeur-Nefta airport recorded a decrease of 6.4% in the number of aircraft, but in return the number of passengers rose by 15.7%.
