    Medics arrive in UAE from India to help in Covid-19 battle

    A 105-member medical team from India, which include critical care nurses, doctors and paramedics, has arrived in the United Arab Emirates on a medical mission to treat Covid-19 patients, Arabian Business reports.

    All the members of the medical team are from Kerala and had undergone a Covid-19 test on Monday in Kochi, Kerala before they boarded the flight to the UAE.

    An initiative of VPS Healthcare, the team members will be working in the critical care unit of various Covid-19 hospitals.

    The medical team at Abu Dhabi International Airport on a specially chartered Etihad Airways aircraft on Wednesday morning, which was facilitated by the Indian Embassy, Department of Health, and UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

    “This is an excellent example of how our strategic partnership with UAE is being implemented on the ground in the area of healthcare,” said Pavan Kapoor, Indian Ambassador to the UAE.
