Saudi Arabia inks 14 investment deals with Uzbekistan

Arab Finance: A group of Saudi Arabian and Uzbekistanis companies signed 14 agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU) in Jeddah to explore investment opportunities, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on August 17th.

The value of the deals has not been disclosed yet, however, Reuters, citing the Saudi state TV, reported that 10 deals were signed between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan at a value of SAR 45 billion.

The signed agreements and MoUs will promote mutual investments in targeted sectors and allow data exchange in available investment opportunities.

They will also cover a group of investment sectors, including air transport, livestock, agriculture, sports, education, science, media, energy, and technology.

On a similar note, a report by the Federation of Saudi Chambers, cited by SPA, showed that the trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan over the last five years amounted to SAR 289 million.
