Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, with the EGX30 index up 0.82% to 55,125.43 points.
The Shariah index rose by 1.49% to 6,426.09 points, while the EGX35-LV gained 1.37% to close at 6,770.1 points.
Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished higher, rising by 4.04% to 20,798.21 points and by 3.36% to 26,983.04 points, respectively.
A total of 3.344 billion shares were exchanged over 301,839 transactions at a turnover of EGP 12.235 billion, while the market cap amounted to EGP 4.158 trillion.
Individuals dominated 86.99% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 13%.
Egyptians controlled 96.11% of total trading, while Arab and foreign investors accounted for 3.08% and 0.8%, respectively.
Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 198.455 million. Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 128.786 million and EGP 69.669 million, respectively.
