EGX closes Sunday in green zone; market cap reaches EGP 4T

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, with the EGX30 index up 1.58% to 54,285.86 points.

The Shariah index went up by 2.64% to 6,171.57 points, while the EGX35-LV rose by 2.98% to 6,503.58 points.

Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index closed the session higher by 4.39% at 19,034.28 points and by 3.83% at  24,956.02 points, respectively.

A total of 2.159 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 10.376 billion over 265,908 transactions, while the market cap amounted to EGP 4.021 trillion.

Individuals dominated 86.29% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 13.7%.

The Egyptians controlled the trading with 95.94%, while Arab and foreign investors accounted for 2.93% and 1.12%, respectively.

Arab investors were sellers with EGP 102.714 million. Egyptian and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 80.969 million and EGP 21.745 million, respectively.
