Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) finished Wednesday’s trading session higher, as the EGX30 index climbed by 0.50% to 52,558.39 points.
The Shariah index grew by 0.92% to 5,918.22 points, while the EGX35-LV increased by 0.49% to 6,226.11 points.
Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index closed the trading session higher by 1.42% at 16,790.88 points and by 1.20% at 22,607.88 points, respectively.
The turnover hit EGP 12.084 billion through the exchange of 3.624 billion shares over 240,391 transactions, while the market cap stood at EGP 3.865 trillion.
Individuals controlled 81.55% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 18.44%.
Egyptians dominated trading with 92.64%, whereas Arab and foreign investors equaled 3.35% and 4.01%, respectively.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 426.184 million. Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 193.140 million and EGP 233.043 million, respectively.
