Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, as the EGX30 index climbed by 1.09% to 55,854.74 points.
The Shariah index rose by 2.01% to 6,694.58 points, while the EGX35-LV rose by 0.61% to 6,898.54 points.
Both the EGX70 index and EGX100 index finished the session higher by 0.21% at 21,634.69 points and by 0.42% at 28,013.52 points, respectively.
A total of 2.636 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 13.491 billion through 316,157 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap hit EGP 4.310 trillion.
Individuals took over 82.9% of trading transactions, while institutions accounted for 17.09%.
Egyptians controlled 94.72% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors represented 1.03% and 4.25%, respectively.
Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 324.172 million and EGP 245.223 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 569.395 million.
