EGX ends mixed on Wednesday

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s session on a mixed note, with the benchmark EGX30 index declining 0.19% to 53,627.32 points.

The Shariah index remained unchanged at 6,057.08 points, while the EGX35-LV index edged up 0.12% to 6,369.41 points.

The EGX70 index gained 0.67% to close at 18,422.68 points, while the broader EGX100 index rose 0.51% to 24,255.77 points.

Trading volume reached 2.817 billion shares, with a total value of EGP 10.965 billion across 224,952 transactions. Market capitalization stood at EGP 3.959 trillion.

Retail investors accounted for 79.89% of trading activity, while institutional investors represented 20.1%.

Egyptian investors dominated trading with a 90.51% share, followed by Arab investors at 6.81% and foreign investors at 2.68%.

Foreign investors recorded net sales of EGP 63.400 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers of EGP 51.848 million and EGP 11.551 million, respectively.
