Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, as the EGX30 index climbed by 1.12% to 55,350.36 points.
The Shariah index rose by 1.30% to 6,618.32 points, while the EGX35-LV rose by 1.46% to 6,848.98 points.
Both the EGX70 index and EGX100 index finished the session higher by 3.87% at 21,621.83 points and by 3.18% at 27,911.41 points, respectively.
A total of 4.326 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 12.852 billion through 277,506 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap hit EGP 4.278 trillion.
Individuals took over 86.33% of trading transactions, while institutions accounted for 13.66%.
Egyptians controlled 95.8% of total trading, while Arab and foreign investors represented 3.65% and 0.54%, respectively.
Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 83.004 million and EGP 72.338 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 155.342 million.
