Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, as the EGX30 index rose by 0.75% to 54,501.7 points.
The Shariah index climbed by 1.57% to 6,260.84 points, and the EGX35-LV increased by 0.84% to 6,623.75 points.
Likewise, the EGX70 index and EGX100 index finished the session higher by 2.61% to 19,796.97 points and 2.17% to 25,825.06 points, respectively.
The turnover reached EGP 15.185 billion after the exchange of 2.769 billion shares through 334,643 transactions, while the market cap totaled EGP 4.074 trillion.
Individuals took over 77.8% of trading transactions, while institutions accounted for 22.19%.
Egyptians controlled 90.87% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors represented 5.89% and 3.23%, respectively.
Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 77.930 million. Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 40.245 million and EGP 37.684 million, respectively.
