Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Sunday, with the EGX30 index up 0.70% to 52,560.1 points.
The Shariah index declined by 0.66% to 5,910.65 points, while the EGX35-LV rose by 0.15% to 6,268.34 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished the session higher by 1.25% at 17,263.26 points and by 0.85% at 23,081.76 points, respectively.
A total of 3.363 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 10.570 billion over 253,109 transactions, while the market cap amounted to EGP 3.886 trillion.
Retail investors controlled 87.99% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 12%.
The Egyptians controlled the trading with 95.86%, while Arab and foreign investors accounted for 3.56% and 0.58%, respectively.
Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 154.384 million, while foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 105.384 million and EGP 48.999 million, respectively.
