Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s trading session with a varied performance.
The EGX30 index edged down by 0.45% to 54,876 points, while the Shariah index dropped by 0.22% to 6,411.87 points.
Likewise, the EGX35-LV went up by 0.52% to 6,805.14 points.
The EGX70 index finished the session higher by 2.60% to 21,339.79 points. On the other hand, the EGX100 index jumped by 2% to 27,521.83 points.
A total of 2.775 billion shares were exchanged at a turnover of EGP 14.907 billion through 334,943 transactions. Meanwhile, market cap hit EGP 4.164 trillion.
Individuals controlled 85.19% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 14.8%.
Egyptians controlled 91.9% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors represented 4.61% and 3.49%, respectively.
Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 229.060 million. Foreign and Arab traders were sellers with EGP 141.012 million and EGP 88.048 million, respectively.
