Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session with a varied performance.
The EGX30 index edged up by 0.29% to 54,659.57 points, while the Shariah index rose by 1.05% to 6,326.53 points.
Likewise, the EGX35-LV went up by 1.01% to 6,690.43 points.
The EGX70 index finished the session higher by 0.16% to 19,765.34 points. On the other hand, the EGX100 index declined by 0.15% to 25,862.74 points.
A total of 3.174 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 12.934 billion through 276,476 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap hit EGP 4.092 trillion.
Individuals controlled 79.08% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 20.91%.
Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 304,947 million. Foreign and Arab traders were sellers with EGP 242.201 million and EGP 62.745 million, respectively.
