Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Tuesday, with the EGX30 index rising by 0.20% to 55,277.03 points.
The Shariah index went down by 0.03% to 6,564.53 points, while the EGX35-LV rose by 0.84% to 6,726.6 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished the session lower by 1.27% at 21,101.43 points and by 0.94% at 27,390.5 points, respectively.
A total of 3.309 billion shares were exchanged through 283,380 transactions at a turnover of EGP 13.617 billion, while the market cap amounted to EGP 4.272 trillion.
Individuals took over 71.73% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 28.26%.
Egyptians controlled the trading with 86.15%, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 11.31% and 2.54%, respectively.
Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 422.090 million, while Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 19.005 million and EGP 403.084 million, respectively.
