Arab Finance: Egypt and Indonesia have agreed to increase bilateral trade to $5 billion by 2030, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced during talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

Both sides explored ways to expand economic and trade cooperation in line with the potential of both countries, while continuing efforts to remove obstacles to achieving the target.

Talks also covered opportunities to expand joint manufacturing projects in key sectors, with Egypt seeking to attract more Indonesian investment by leveraging its position as a regional production and export hub and a gateway to Arab, African, and international markets.

Moreover, the two leaders also discussed strengthening cultural and educational cooperation.

El-Sisi welcomed the continued arrival of thousands of Indonesian students in Egypt each year to study at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Egyptian universities, highlighting the role of academic and cultural exchanges in strengthening bilateral relations.
