El-Sisi inaugurates State Strategic Command headquarters in New Capital

Arab Finance: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has inaugurated the ‘State Strategic Command’ headquarters in the New Capital, a major step in reinforcing its command and control system, according to a statement.

El-Sisi noted that the headquarters features advanced technological infrastructure, secure communication systems, and enhanced capabilities in data collection and analysis.

During his speech, El-Sisi noted that Egypt is preparing to install the reactor pressure vessel for the second nuclear unit at the El Dabaa nuclear power plant within days. This plant will generate clean energy to power investment projects as well as services citizens need.

He also outlined a package of political, economic, and administrative directives aimed at advancing reforms and improving living standards.

The president directed the government to hold an annual meeting on December 3rd to review the state of the Egyptian media sector, discuss key challenges and opportunities, and develop practical solutions for development.

Moreover, he instructed the government to prepare a national economic program following the completion of Egypt's reform program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The strategy will focus on driving sustainable economic growth, enhancing citizens' living standards, and boosting the economy's resilience.

In June, the government and IMF reached a staff-level agreement on the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the second review under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).

The president further urged expanding private investment by accelerating the state's withdrawal from economic activities that can be managed by the private sector. This is in addition to promoting digital transformation, intensifying anti-corruption efforts, and reforming the education system, among others.
