Arab Finance: Elevate Capital and members of the Moharram family signed a definitive agreement to fully acquire Nile Scan & Labs in a transaction valued at EGP 1 billion, according to an emailed press release.
Upon completing the transaction, Nile Scan will become wholly owned by a consortium comprising Elevate Capital and members of the Moharram family. The alliance is considering listing the company on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) in the future.
The acquisition marks a strategic milestone for Elevate Capital and reflects its long-term commitment to building an integrated, scalable healthcare platform across Egypt and Africa.
The transaction is expected to attract further investments while strengthening operational synergies across the group’s healthcare portfolio. This is in addition to backing geographic expansion and the development of healthcare services in high-growth African markets.
The deal follows a successful partnership with Misr Capital, which enabled Nile Scan to achieve revenue growth, enhance its service capabilities, and anchor its position as one of Egypt's leading diagnostic providers.
Looking ahead, the consortium plans to accelerate the company's next phase of growth through geographic expansion within Egypt and internationally, with a particular focus on African markets.
Its growth strategy also includes implementing key acquisitions, promoting digital transformation initiatives, expanding AI-powered diagnostic capabilities, and continuing investments in clinical excellence.
