Fertilizer, building material prices mixed on June 15th

Arab Finance: Prices of fertilizers and building materials recorded mixed movements in the Egyptian market during trading on Monday, June 15th, 2026, according to data released by the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).

In the fertilizer sector, ammonium sulfate (20.6%) prices declined by 0.9% on a daily basis to EGP 19,288.30 per ton. The product was also down 2.6% compared to the previous month, although it remained 24.1% higher than its level a year earlier.

Meanwhile, ammonium nitrate (33.5%) rose by 0.3% during Monday's trading to EGP 25,374.10 per ton. The fertilizer recorded a monthly increase of 6.2% and an annual rise of 18.8%.

Urea (46.5% specific grade) also posted gains, climbing 0.9% day-on-day to EGP 26,046.40 per ton. The price was up 4.9% month-on-month (MoM) and 16.4% year-on-year (YoY).

In the building materials market, gray cement prices increased by 1.6% during trading to reach EGP 3,990.20 per ton. Despite the daily increase, cement prices were down 1.7% from the previous month, while remaining 3.2% higher than the same period last year.

Investment-grade steel prices rose by 0.4% to EGP 38,684.20 per ton, recording a monthly increase of 2.7% and an annual rise of 2.8%.

Meanwhile, Ezz Steel prices edged up by 0.1% during Monday's trading to EGP 40,279.90 per ton. The product also posted a monthly increase of 0.9% and was 2% higher compared to the same period in 2025.
