Arab Finance: Roche Diagnostics has appointed Carlos Justiniani Ugarte as General Manager of Roche Diagnostics Egypt and North Africa Network Lead, strengthening the company’s leadership in the region, according to an emailed press release.
Ugarte joins Roche’s Egypt affiliate after four years as Country Manager for Morocco, where he expanded the company’s diagnostics affiliate and positioned Morocco as a strategic hub for Roche’s Francophone West Africa network.
He brings 27 years of international leadership experience at Roche to his new role. Throughout his career, he has held senior executive positions in Switzerland, France, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Morocco, and Egypt, building extensive expertise in diagnostics, healthcare transformation, and business leadership across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
The new official commented: "Egypt is at a genuinely exciting moment in its healthcare journey. The ambition is real, the infrastructure is growing, and there is a genuine appetite across the system for change that reaches patients.”
