Egyptian economy holds special importance for Japan’s investments: Japanese Minister

Arab Finance: Japanese Minister of State for Economy, Trade, and Industry Koga Yuichiro affirmed the importance of the Egyptian economy for Japanese investments during the Egyptian-Japanese Business Council Forum, as per a statement.

The forum was held on August 19th in Tokyo, in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and senior officials from both countries.

In his speech, Yuichiro praised Egypt’s role at various levels and noted the significant development the Egyptian economy has witnessed in recent years.

He stressed that this progress makes Egypt a key destination for Japanese investments across several sectors, particularly industry and energy, contributing to economic growth and the creation of job opportunities.

Yuichiro also expressed appreciation for Egypt’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with Japan and Japanese companies in multiple fields.

He highlighted the close cultural ties between the two countries, particularly in antiquities, noting the organization of archaeological exhibitions in Japan that reflect the depth of bilateral relations.

Concluding his remarks, the Japanese minister extended his best wishes for the success of Madbouly’s visit and the Egyptian delegation’s meetings, expressing confidence that the outcomes would support the objectives of both sides.
