Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and his delegation to discuss joint cooperation and issues of mutual interest, as per a statement.

Madbouly welcomed the Qatari delegation, highlighting the recent qualitative shift in bilateral relations across political, economic, and investment fields.

He stressed the need to build on the outcomes of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to Doha last April, during which Qatar announced a $7.5 billion investment package in Egypt. Discussions touched on the implementation of these investments in the coming period.

Madbouly reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to maintaining continuous communication with the Qatari business community to boost investor confidence in available opportunities, stressing the government’s readiness to facilitate procedures supporting Qatari projects in Egypt.

For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman emphasized Qatar’s keenness to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially joint investments that serve the aspirations of both nations.

Both sides underscored the importance of convening the Egyptian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee as a platform to advance cooperation in political, economic, and commercial fields and to open a new phase of deeper ties.
