Brent crude up on Wednesday after Israeli attack in Qatar

Arab Finance: Oil prices hiked on Wednesday following an Israeli attack on Hamas leadership in Qatar, with Brent crude futures rising 35 cents, or 0.53%, to $66.74 a barrel by 12:33 am GMT, according to Reuters.

On his part, the US President Donald Trump called on Europe to impose tariffs on buyers of Russian oil, but a weak market outlook capped gains.

"The modest reaction in crude oil prices to this news, along with scepticism regarding US President Trump's claims about potentially ramping up sanctions on Russian oil [...] leaves crude oil vulnerable to lower prices," IG market analyst Tony Sycamore noted.
