Arab Finance: Egyptian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed two financing agreements worth a combined EGP 160 million with Aman for Microfinance, MSMEDA said in a statement on January 3rd.
The first agreement is worth EGP 100 million to back small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across all governorates, while the second EGP 60 million deal will empower Egyptian women-owned SMEs.
These funds will finance about 6,400 beneficiaries in all governorates working in various commercial, service, and agricultural sectors, focusing on productive and industrial projects to meet the needs of local markets and to reduce imports, MSMEDA’s CEO of MSMEDA Basil Rahmi said.
