Arab Finance: The Egyptian petroleum sector is probing cooperation with Prometheus Gas, the subsidiary of Greece-based Copelouzos Group, in the fields of natural gas trade and distribution, as per a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The two sides are also considering the execution of infrastructure and pipeline projects.

The potential cooperation was discussed in a meeting between Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla and Chairman of the Greek Copelouzos Group Dimitris Kobelouzos and his accompanying delegation.

El Molla confirmed that the petroleum sector is currently implementing an intensive research and exploration program aimed at increasing oil reserves to continue meeting the needs of the local market and providing a surplus for value-added and export industries.
