Canada’s IFS to cooperate with Egyptian petroleum sector on digital transformation

Arab Finance: The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla held a meeting with Mark Moffat, CEO of the Canadian oil and natural gas software solutions provider IFS, to probe cooperation to improve the performance of the Egyptian petroleum sector, as per a statement.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the company’s proposal to apply digital transformation via using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to shore up the efficiency of fuel distribution operations.

This is in addition to enhancing the efficiency of petroleum products distribution operations, which in turn will reduce fuel consumption and transport costs during the distribution.

This came on the sidelines of the first day of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024).
