Banque du Caire’s profits soar 112% YoY in 2023

Arab Finance: Banque du Caire posted a 112% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profits after tax in 2023, recording EGP 6.7 billion, compared to EGP 3.1 billion, according to an emailed press release.

Net interest income rose by 39% YoY to EGP 17.8 billion last year from EGP 12.8 billion.

The bank’s customer deposits rose 21% YoY to EGP 302.1 billion at the end of December 2023, versus EGP 250.2 billion end-December 2022.

Meanwhile, total loans provided to customers and banks went up 28% to EGP 179.8 billion in 2023, compared to EGP 140.5 billion in 2022.
