Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, represented by the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), has signed a contract to import 250,000 tons of raw sugar, as per a statement.

The shipment is set for arrival in May, July, and August 2024, in favor of the Holding Company for Food Industries (HCFI).

The move aims to increase the country’s strategic reserves of sugar.
