Cereals Industry Chamber confirms decline in flour prices for unsubsidized bread

Arab Finance: Egypt’s Chamber of Cereals Industry has confirmed a significant decrease in the price of flour utilized for producing unsubsidized bread, Asharq Business reported.

Following a government meeting with mill owners responsible for extracting 72% flour used in the production of unsubsidized bread, the current price of bread has been revealed that to stand at a modest EGP 16,000 per ton.

This marks a notable decline from previous rates, which ranged between EGP 21,000 to EGP 22,000.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced before that unsubsidized bread will be sold at reduced prices starting Sunday, April 21st.
