Arab Finance: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi held multiple meetings with leaders of several companies operating in Egypt, including Dragon Oil, Dana Gas, Mediterra, and Naftogaz, to explore ways of enhancing oil and gas production, as per a statement.
Badawi met with Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, President of UAE Dragon Oil Company, and Fareed Alhashmi, the company's Egypt operations director, to discuss the productive partnership through the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO).
Al Jarwan expressed support for these initiatives and emphasized the importance of a collaborative strategy to increase production and expand in Egypt.
Badawi also held talks with Richard Hall, President of UAE's Dana Gas, to discuss efforts to boost gas production in the Nile Delta region.
Hall highlighted Egypt's attractiveness for investment and Dana Gas's commitment to increasing production through modern technology.
During other discussions with Memet Kunt, President of Canadian Mediterra Energy Company, he stressed that Egypt has been an important country for the company's investments for 10 years and that it intends to increase drilling operations and add more operating rigs.
The minister also had discussions with Feder Bayuk, CEO of Ukrainian Naftogaz, and they focused on the company’s activities in the Western Desert through the Petrosnan Joint Operations Company.
